In three years time, my goal is to earn my Doctoral degree in education or in sociology. I have already taught community college courses and I hope to continue teaching while earning my doctorate. My interest in doctoral programs center around the need for practitioners to expose their diverse experiences. I am Black by race and Hispanic by ethnicity. My generation is the first of my family to earn a bachelor’s degree. I am the first person to earn a master’s degree and will be the first PhD in my family. My personal goal is to prove that my experiences of my intersectionality are both necessary and helpful towards improving policy analyzation and educational equity. I want diverse experiences to provide learning opportunities. Other personal goals include exploring economic and social dynamics and expressing how policy affects Los Angeles County communities and its culture
