A Place 2 Call Home
A Place 2 Call Home provides safe, supportive, affordable transitional, and community housing. Rent arrears and FMWC entirely fund this program. We provide positive reporting to the major credit bureaus on behalf of the residents.
Residents also volunteer for FMWC a couple of hours a month. If the program is full, FMWC has a referral network for free/fee shelter services. We work with community partners such as LA Rescue mission, Hollywood Clinic, Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority, HOPICS, First 2 Serve, New Reflections, Motorcycle Ryders for Parolees, Good Seed, WLCAC, The Social Security Administration and the Los Angeles Department of Social Services.
Through offering community development in the form of rehabilitation and construction. FMWC hopes to acquire single-family dwellings for improvement to sale or rental to low-income persons. We would use vacant land for the development of low-income housing.
FMWC has an interest in reviving slums and blighted areas within our surrounding communities by developing land to be dedicated to public use. FMWC supports people from all Los Angeles County areas, so we hope to expand in 2020 to all cities and areas within the Los Angeles County.
